400C crawler loader

Hi, I'm up in Cumbria on top of the Pennines about 20 miles from Penrith. I run our village snowplough and have just bought one of these in need of TLC - presently a non-runner. It would be great if anyone has knowledge of this machine or access to an operator's manual. I've found a parts book (for the US version, unfortunately) and an excellent maintenance guide that explains how the transmission works and gives setting data. Any help welcome. At the moment (with no engine) I can't get it to steer - even when towed - so have to drag it round corners! NB. This is quite different from the MF400 dozer/crawler loader - all controls hydraulically operted, including steering clutches.
