Upgrading the hydraulic system on a Massey Ferguson 2615 any tips or experiences

I've got a Massey Ferguson 2615 that I use on my small farm, and I'm thinking about upgrading the hydraulic system to improve the loader's performance. I'm really aiming for smoother and quicker operation, but I want to keep the costs reasonable.

Has anyone here made any aftermarket upgrades or modifications to enhance hydraulic flow or pressure on this model? I'd really appreciate any recommendations, success stories, or even things to watch out for.
 
I'm guessing a more powerful pump will do the job, as long as it doens't put too much stress on the system. If you decide to do this, make sure to check everything to make sure you don't end up with a disaster

I suggest you start with the basics before considering any upgrades or mods. Check your hydraulic filter and fluid, and the pump's condition. Sometimes, common issues appear simply due to neglected maintenance. I mean focus on addressing any current system weakness first. Then if the basics are good, I'd also go with @valhallafarmer's idea and get an aftermarket auxiliary pump for more dedicated loader flow. Be cautious with pressure relief valve adjustments because increasing pressure too much can cause damage. A hydraulic multiplier can also help by allowing multiple functions from existing outlets, making operations feel more responsive.

I'm just getting into hydraulics and trying to understand how everything works. Quick question, how do I know if my hydraulic filter needs replacing, and is there a way to test pump condition without special tools?
 
Just be careful you don't overload the system. Adding a third-function kit for the loader can also make attachments more versatile. Definitely check specs or talk to a dealer before making changes to keep everything safe and reliable
 
I have an MF 400C crawler loader. This has a special circuit that speeds up lowering the boom (so that it can drop much faster than the pump can pump oil into the rod-end of the lift cylinder). Simple: In the 'lower' position, a valve connects the two sides of the lift cylinder so that, instead of returning to tank, the oil being expelled from the piston side adds to the flow from the pump into the rod side. A pilot-operated 2-position valve would do this and give a a much higher lowering speed speed.
